In the mid to late eighties, a group of local North Amityville residents organized a community-based grassroots movement that culminated in the formation of the North Amityville Community Economic Council, Inc. (NACEC).

Since inception, NACEC’s vision has been to empower its community through economic development and educational opportunities.
